Which DPI metadata can the checker read?+
It reads JFIF density from JPG, pHYs resolution from PNG and standard resolution tags from TIFF files.
Why does an image have no DPI value?+
Many web images store pixel dimensions without print-density metadata, so no DPI value is available to report.
Does checking DPI change the image?+
No. The checker only reads metadata and never modifies or re-encodes the selected file.
